Video: German Fifth-Grader Brutally Puts Leroy Sane on the Spot with Mesut Ozil Question

Manchester City winger Leroy Sane was put on the spot by a school boy today – and asked for his thoughts on the controversial subject of Arsenal play-maker Mesut Ozil.

Sane has joined up with his international colleagues for the upcoming friendly against Russia, and the Nations League match against Holland next week, and it seems Ozil’s decision to retire from representing his country because of perceived racism from members of the German FA is still a hot topic amongst German football fans.

Some of the squad took time away from training to visit a school earlier today and probably expected some lighthearted questions about their favourites opponents or what it’s like to play against Leo Messi.

But one fifth-grader wanted to get to the bottom of the Ozil saga, and he was keen for Sane to give his thoughts:

To be fair to the Manchester City man, he handled it pretty well, but we think we see a future in journalism for that nosy little lad!

Well played, Leroy. Nicely dodged.
