Greg Docherty scored another beauty for Shrewsbury this week.
The on-loan Rangers midfielder is enjoying a rich vein of form with the League One outfit, scoring two goals in his last three games – including a belter against Salford City in the FA Cup last week.
He’s got six for the season for Shrewsbury and showing exactly the kind of quality that made him a £400,000 signing for Rangers from Hamilton last January.
And you’d assume if he continues this form then it won’t be long before Steven Gerrard has him back at Ibrox.
Shrewsbury beat Plymouth 2-0 on Tuesday night to move up to 15th in the English Championship table and it was Dochery’s goal that set them on their way:
Great finish from Docherty.
But is he lining up out wide for Shrewsbury? You’d assume that wouldn’t be his position at Rangers given he was signed as a central midfielder and that’s where he’s played so far for the Ibrox side.
