Hearts and Hibs played out another eventful Edinburgh derby last night, full of hard tackles, big refereeing decisions and off field controversy – but no goals unfortunately.
The Jambos welcomed the Hibees to Easter Road hoping to bounce back from their disappointing 3-0 defeat to Celtic in the Betfred Cup semi-final on Sunday.
They also had the motivation of wanting to extend, or at least maintain, their six-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
As for Hibs, they were in the mix at the top of the table too going into last night’s game and a win would have cut the gap to Hearts and some others above them.
But neither could get what they wanted in a match that had little quality in the final third.
What it did have was controversy, with Florian Kamberi being sent off for the visitors, Hearts goalie Zdenek Zlamal being hit by a Hibs fan and a coin being thrown from the Hearts supporters at Neil Lennon.
Here are the highlights from last night’s game:
The Edinburgh derby never disappoints.
