The first-choice Everton stopper won the hearts and minds of the nation’s football fans last summer with a string of impressive displays for the Three Lions at the World Cup in Russia, and looks set to be the England No.1 for the best part of the next decade.
And whilst he’s obviously brilliant with his hands, the 24-year-old is often renowned for his ability to play out from the back, and judging by this clip from today’s session with Gareth Southgate’s squad, he could be good enough to get a game outfield pretty soon.
He almost looks embarrassed as the ball curls into the far corner:

They’re pretty well-stocked in the left-back position but if there ever ends up being a shortage, we reckon Pickford could easily step in and do a job, a la Fabian Barthez at Man Utd.
