Loris Karius had an absolute nightmare for Besiktas last night despite them beating Sarpsborg 3-2 in the Europa League.
The Norwegian side were heading for a famous win inside six minutes when they raced into a two-goal lead.
Going into the game, both teams were still well in the hunt for a last 32 place, with Sarpsborg having five points and Besiktas having four after four matches.
And it looked like Sarpsborg were about to take command of the group when they hit the net twice inside the opening six minutes.
For Besiktas, it was a horrendous start that on-loan Liverpool goalkeeper Karius played a big part in.
Rashad Muhammad opened the scoring for the Norwegians – and that was made easy by the German goalie rushing from his line for no reason:
The second goal may not have been Karius’ fault as Tobias Heintz produced a brilliant finish.
But, then again, could Karius have been more prepared for the shot?
Scenes in Sarpsborg! 😱
The Nowegian side went 2-0 up inside six minutes thanks to a stunning strike from Tobias Heintz!

This from Karius just summed up his night:
Hopefully people can watch this and never ever even joke about Alisson being 'the new karius'pic.twitter.com/MZaCMpbDYF

Unfortunately for Sarpsborg – and fortunately for Karius – Besiktas managed to recover in the second half and got a 90th-minute winner through Jeremain Lens.
But Liverpool fans won’t enjoy watching Karius and realising he’s still contracted to their club.
