Video: Rodgers Says Menga Should’ve Been Sent Off and Confirms Ajer’s Broken Eye Socket

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted Livingston striker Dolly Menga should’ve been sent off earlier today, whilst confirming Kristoffer Ajer is set for a spell on the sidelines.

The Hoops boss cut a frustrated figure on the Tony Macaroni Arena touchline this afternoon as his players could only muster up a 0-0 draw with newly-promoted Livi, with the home side furiously battling for their point.

The result means Celtic still go to the top of the Premiership table on goal difference, and have a game in-hand, but Rodgers reckons his players should’ve been playing against 10 for a significant chunk of the proceedings, after Menga appeared to aggressively throw his head towards Ryan Christie’s:

As he spoke to the club’s in-house media after the full-time whistle, Rodgers also confirmed Ajer’s injury, revealing the Norwegian had suffered a broken eye socket:

Do you think Menga deserved a red card for his actions? And will Ajer be badly missed by Celtic?
