Scudamore is set to step down as the Executive Chairman of the Premier League after 19 years of service, and there’s plans to give him an eye-watering ‘golden goodbye’, with reports that each Premier League club has been asked to chip-in the handsome sum of £250,000 for a leaving present of sorts.
Of course, multiplied by all 20 clubs, that would come to a cool £5 million, for a man who has reportedly been earning around £2.5 million for several years now.
As we told you yesterday, fans and onlookers are pretty furious at the ‘obscene’ gesture by Gold isn’t too bothered, insisting Scudamore deserves everything coming to him:
“He deserves it!”

According to the BBC, the idea was put forth by Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck, but it’s fair to say the regular week-to-week paying punter is far from impressed, but what do you think?
