The Hoops manager faced the press earlier today ahead of his side’s clash with their rivals at Ibrox.
And he covered a broad range of topics, including the 750 Celtic fans who will be in attendance, how his players have been playing and how these games have played out previously.
But Rodgers delivered his most significant line on the topic of Tierney’s fitness.
The Celtic full-back hasn’t played since the Europa League clash with Red Bull Salzburg on December 13th.
In that time he’s missed games against Hibs, Motherwell, Dundee and Aberdeen, with Emilio Izaguirre taking his place.
But it was hoped by many that he’d return in time to face Rangers tomorrow.
Unfortunately for Celtic fans, that looks unlikely:

If Tierney was ready to go then you’d expect Rodgers would have provided a more positive update on his availability.
But there is still time – and this could be an attempt by the Celtic manager to keep Rangers guessing on what team he plays.
