Celtic fans are not happy at rumours the club could reject tickets for their game against Rangers at Ibrox later this month.
The Hoops have already played their Glasgow rivals this season, beating them 1-0 at Celtic Park back in September.
And now they’re set to make the trip to Ibrox for the second match of the campaign between the teams.
There’s been plenty of discussion around away allocations at the stadiums of both teams ever since Rangers decided to cut the Hoops allocation to just 800.
Celtic responded to that by cutting the travelling support allocation for September’s game – and Peter Lawwell has since said that taking tickets for this month’s trip to Ibrox has to be seriously considered by the club.
Now there are rumours circulating on social media that Celtic will in fact reject those tickets.
And a lot of supporters aren’t happy if that proves to be true – although there has been no official word from the club on that:
If Celtic refuse tickets for Ibrox it won’t be because of safety concerns, but Peter Lawwell’s ego.

Surley we havent rejected tickets for ibrox? @CelticFCSLO
Utterly embarrassing and a disgrace if this is true
Should be up to the individual if they decide to take the ticket or not

If we’re not taking tickets for Ibrox then I hope we finish 3rd

The Ibrox ticket situation is just becoming a total farce, Celtic should have made a decision on it before they came to Parkhead for the first game.

Absolute embarrassment if the Twitter rumours are true & we’re taking no tickets for Ibrox. Shitebags at the top can get so far to fuck!

Shambles if Celtic don’t take tickets for Ibrox. The majority of those wanting us to refuse them wouldn’t be eligible for one anyway. Let the fans decide – I’m sure for every person not wanting to go there’ll be another ten wanting to take their place.

All the unofficial buses (usually minibuses) should just travel to Ibrox regardless, just for the buzz. I despise huge sections of our support, goody 2 shoe bastards. They’ve had a vote which was overwhelmingly in favour of taking tickets & still rumours persist.

If the rumours are true and the club was to announce that there are no tickets for the game at Ibrox then you could assume that there will be more Celtic fans voicing their displeasure.
Celtic fans – would you be unhappy if the allocation was rejected?
