Celtic Hero Paddy McCourt Absolutely Slates Sol Campbell Saying His Arrogance Is ‘Different Level’

Celtic hero Paddy McCourt has slated Sol Campbell after he was named the new boss of Macclesfield Town.

The former Hoops winger didn’t hold back as he laid into the ex-Arsenal and England star on Twitter.

McCourt slammed Campbell for walking out on Notts County after just one game in 2009.

The Northern Irishman, who also spent a loan spell with County in 2015, said: “Lasted 29 days at Notts County after signing a 5 year deal I wonder will he last much longer at Macclesfield. This man’s arrogance is on a completely different level.”

Former Parkhead fans’ favourite McCourt didn’t actually play for County until 2015, so it’s unclear why he feels he has an axe to grind over the League Two appointment.

Derry man McCourt joined the Magpies on loan from Brighton. It followed a spell at Barnsley after leaving the Hoops in 2013.
