Celtic Left with No Strikers as Odsonne Edouard Limps Off Against Motherwell

Celtic have been left with zero fit strikers tonight after French forward Odsonne Edouard limped off injured against Motherwell at Celtic Park.

The Hoops went into tonight’s Premiership tie at home to the Steelmen looking to retake their lead at the top of the table, and it looked like the three points were secured by half-time after goals from Anthony Ralston, Scott Sinclair and Mikey Johnston.

Johnston’s goal was the highlight of the first-half but the youngster was only on the field as a sub for Edouard, who pulled up with what looked like a hamstring injury.

With Leigh Griffiths out for the foreseeable future as he deals with personal problems, and no replacement brought in for Moussa Dembele since his September move to Lyon, Edouard is currently the only senior striker Brendan Rodgers can turn to.

It remains to be seen if the injury is serious, but with a vital clash against arch rivals Rangers looming on December 29, it’s certainly too close for comfort for fans.

If he’s out for a sustained period, who would you field up-front?
