Celtic Players Show Support For Scott Sinclair After Racial Abuse

Some Celtic players have shown their support for Scott Sinclair after he was the subject of racial abuse at the weekend.

The Celtic winger took to his Instagram last night to share a video that was already being widely circulated by fans following Sunday’s Betfred Cup Final against Aberdeen.

In the video, a Dons supporter can be heard racially abusing Sinclair as he stepped up to take a penalty.

It’s a shocking insult and one that has no place in society – and Sinclair was strong in his reaction to it:

Since posting the video, he’s had a load of support from Scottish football fans – not just those who follow Celtic.

And he’s also had a lot of backing from his team-mates, with Scott Brown, Nir Bitton and Mikael Lustig posting their messages of support:

There are no doubt plenty more messages of support in private – as well as thousands more messages across social media from fans who are keen to let Sinclair know how valuable he is to them.
