The Jambos got off to the perfect start when a Gareth McAuley own goal put his side in-front on 27 minutes, but Connor Goldson levelled things up a few minutes later before Alfredo Morelos put the Gers ahead before half-time.
Whilst Rangers saw Scott Arfield sent off for a reckless lunge on Bobby Zlamal, Morelos’s eventual winner looked like it was definitely offside, and Levein was far from happy with the standard of officiating throughout the 90 minutes.
After the full-time whistle, the ex-Scotland manager faced the media, and he definitely didn’t hold back:
Craig Levein on BBC Scotland:
“First of all I’ve got to apologies, I’ve lost my voice, I’ve been shouting at the referee for 90 minutes.”

Craig Levein blasts referee Bobby Madden’s display after their 2-1 defeat to Rangers.
“We were playing against 12 men, the referee was abysmal.”
He says he’s amazed Alfredo Morelos stayed on the pitch nevermind not getting booked.

Just interviewed a very, very angry Craig Levein.
Understandable, given that Rangers winner was offside.
“It was like playing against 12 men today”, he said of the ref.
I asked if he is an advocate of VAR to help the officials in such circumstances: “They didn’t need it there”. pic.twitter.com/2Wu7ZtlBSr

Do you think Levein is correct to give the officials such a hard time? And if not, what sort of punishment could he be looking at from the SFA?
