Juan Mata Beats Alexis Sanchez in Sprints Tests During Manchester United Training

Alexis Sanchez‘s Manchester United career hit a new low this week when he was reportedly soundly beaten in sprints tests by team-mate Juan Mata.

The Chilean attacker was regarded as one of the best wide forwards in European football when he moved to Old Trafford almost a year ago but he hasn’t done too much to justify his huge weekly salary since.

Sanchez has been ruled out until the New Year after sustaining a hamstring injury, but it’s been reported that his displays in training hadn’t been up to much anyway.

According to the Mirror, Sanchez was out-sprinted by Mata in a series of routine tests by the club’s medical and fitness department, and whilst Mata is a perfectly fine player, he’s not exactly known for his lung-bursting turn of pace, is he?

This is just the latest setback in Sanchez’s United spell, but should the club look for a buyer to take him off their hands?

What do you think?
