Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be in line for a shock return to the Liverpool first-team – and plenty of the club’s supporters reckon it could be the boost the Reds need to seal the Premier League title.
The midfielder was in excellent form last season, and played a crucial role in guiding Jurgen Klopp’s side to the Champions League final, but he’s been sidelined ever since picking up a serious knee injury in the competition’s semi-final against Roma at Anfield in April.
The ex-Arsenal man missed England’s World Cup campaign, hasn’t played a competitive game since and was expected to miss the entire Premier League season, with Klopp claiming in July that it would be a ‘bonus’ if he played at all before May.
However, Liverpool’s German coach has given fans a rather timely update, with news that Oxlade-Chamberlain could well be back in action by February or March – just in time for a potential title run-in:

Oxlade-Chamberlain might be back in the team as soon as March.
What a boost that would be to push on for the title 👏🏻 pic.twitter.com/aB0NvdUS1t

Imagine having Oxlade-Chamberlain back in the team for what could be the last leg of what could be the title run in.
Could be a massive boost and just what we need to see it through.

Liverpool are currently six points clear at the top of the Premier League – so could Oxlade-Chamberlain’s return to fitness be the catalyst for winning their first championship of this millennium?
