Joe Gomez is facing several months on the sidelines after it was confirmed he broke his leg in last night’s win over Burnley – and the club’s supporters are keen to see action taken against Sean Dyche and his side.
Gomez was taken off during last night’s 3-1 win at Turf Moor after a tackle by Ben Mee, and the England international looked to be in a fair amount of pain as he was replaced.
And now, via the official Liverpool website, it’s been confirmed the 21-year-old sustained a fractured leg during the challenge, and faces at least six weeks out of action.
The news comes as a blow to Jurgen Klopp and plenty of Reds fans reckon the injury came about after Dyche instructed his players to play in an overly physical manner:
This is what happens when referees allow lower sides to play harder/more dangerous and put it down to being more physical. Burnley players knew exactly what they were doing.

All because of Sean Dyche setting his team up to play rugby. That type of football doesn’t belong in the top devision.

Amazing how referee's are so different in this League, some of the tackles going in last night some refs will stamp out, others let it go, even their goal some refs would've ruled out, three tackles on Gomez and not one yellow card for any of them….

our players dont roll around on the pitch at challenges like others do..burnley's tackles were reckless from the first minute..they wanted to hurt.tha aint the football we love..ref should have thrown a few cards around earlier to em.. would have deter em,moreno was lucky enough

Damn you Burnley… why'd you have to take him out like that… and before the Napoli match too. Wishing you a speedy recovery Joe, you will be missed.

Dyche's "absolutely happy" rant looks good now . He's happy for his players to break opponents legs basically

A shame Sean Dyche said it was a decent tackle. May be he’s got to go to Specsacers 🤔🤔

Burnley are known to be a a pretty difficult team to beat, particularly at home, but does their tactics overstep the mark at times?
What do you make of the reaction?
