The Gunners forward has been in good form of late, scoring three in two games going into the visit to Anfield.
But it was a very different night for him, with Aubameyang failing to trouble Liverpool in a game they dominated from start to finish.
Aubameyang managed just 10 successful passes in the game, with six of those coming from him taking kick-off.
For a player of his quality, that is absolutely not good enough – and it was no surprise that he was replaced on the 71st-minute mark.
Just have a look at these stats:

Aubameyang is undoubtedly a quality player, but he needs to bounce back quickly from that, with Arsenal welcoming Fulham to the Emirates on New Year’s Day.
With the defeat, the Gunners remain fifth in the Premier League table, two points behind Chelsea, who have a game in hand over them.
