Piers Morgan has led the Arsenal meltdowns following their battering at the hands of Liverpool tonight.
The Gunners went into their late English Premier League clash knowing that the home side have been in some outstanding form this season.
But their brand of attacking football could have been a threat to Jurgen Klopp’s men – or so some thought.
It turned out Liverpool were far too good for Unai Emery’s men, blasting five past them and rendering Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ early equaliser as a consolation.
And that led to a huge meltdown among the Arsenal support on Twitter, led by Morgan:
This. Is. Torture.

If I was Emery I would tell our players to get six red cards asap, the match would finish 3-0 automatically instead of this disgrace

Its actually good we are getting twatted. Hopefully Emery opens his eyes now and buys proper defenders now. Fuck the entire current backline. The whole fucking lot of them.

For tactical reasons at 5-1 down and chasing a game. Emery takes one striker off for another 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

Let's face it. It seems Emery has fallen out with Ozil and Laca. And no, Aron Ramsey is no match for Ozil. With all the ongoing injuries, defensive deficiencies and the absence of a creative attack, we are doomed! #LiverpoolArsenal #arsenal #Liverpool

Feel for Emery because of the defensive situation but he has to take some responsibility for this, smaller clubs have come to Anfield and left with a more respectable scoreline.

68th minute. 5-1 down. Lacazette still on the bench.
Good fucking job Unai Emery

Maybe Emery woke up in Wenger’s body? 🤔

1-0 up defend like absolute clowns for their 3 goals and then surprise surprise Salah falling over like he’s been shot. Iwobi has be decent and AMN although he’s been shit defensively. Major major work and investment needed in January and the summer.

Emery needs to stand up in his press conferences about the refereeing. He never comments on it. Need some prime Wenger snide comments after the game.

Imagine how badly Emery's going to panic after this thrashing. We'll line up against Fulham in a 5-5-0

You get the point.
Arsenal actually took the lead through Maitland-Niles’ early goal, but Liverpool were rampant in their recovery, scoring five through a Roberto Firmino hat-trick as well as goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
With that win, Liverpool have moved nine points clear at the top of the English Premier League table – and 10 ahead of Manchester City, who play their game in hand tomorrow.
