Rangers are being linked with a loan move for Everton youngster Kieran Dowell, and the England Under-21 internationalist certainly comes highly-rated and with an impressive showreel.
The 21-year-old midfielder has made just two senior appearances for Marco Silva’s side this season, both in the EFL Cup, but was rewarded with a new contract at Goodison Park back in August which ties him to the club until 2021.
He’s cemented himself in the England Under-21 side as a key player and played in the recent win over Scotland and, in recent seasons, he’s played in several Europa League matches for the Toffees.
Dowell spent last season with Nottingham Forest and has been linked previously with a loan move to Championship promotion-chasers Middlesbrough, but the Mirror reckons he’s on the radar of Steven Gerrard and Mark Allen.
As you can see in the clips, he definitely looks like a player with a significant amount of talent, but is Dowell the man Rangers need at the moment?
What do you think?
