Steven Gerrard Admits He’s Expecting Bids For Alfredo Morelos Next Month

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has admitted he is fully expecting to receive bids for star striker Alfredo Morelos when the transfer window opens next week.

The Colombian international is the club’s top-scorer this season with an impressive 20 goals to his name, and he’s spoken openly about his ambition to play in the English Premier League one day.

Morelos was the subject of a rumoured bid from a team in the Chinese Super League this time last year but he remained at Ibrox and has cemented his position as a cult hero amongst Gers supporters.

But Gerrard and the Rangers hierarchy are clever enough to know Morelos’s exploits will be gathering admiring glances from clubs down south, and today the Light Blues’ gaffer explained, via the Sun: “I’m expecting a bid for Morelos. He is a top player who has scored 20 goals.

“I would be more surprised if there are no bids but that is what happens when you’re surrounded by good players.”

Do you think Morelos will still be a Rangers player when the January transfer window slams shut? And how big a price-tag should be placed around the 22-year-old’s neck?
