Steven Gerrard Pays Tribute to ‘Top Striker’ Alfredo Morelos Ahead of Aberdeen Clash

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has heaped praise on Alfredo Morelos ahead of tomorrow night’s clash with Aberdeen – insisting the Colombian is a ‘top striker’.

Morelos bagged his 17th goal of the campaign in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Hearts and is now the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership, and his manager is keen to see the 22-year-old get all of the praise he deserves following the stormy trip to Tynecastle.

Speaking to the media this afternoon ahead of hosting the beaten Betfred Cup finalists, Gerrard praised his player’s dedication to improving and his higher levels of fitness and claimed he’s been pushing himself to his limits in training every day:

With 17 goals in 28 matches this season, how many goals do you think Morelos could finish the campaign with, and should genuinely top teams be taking a close look at making a move for him in the January transfer window?

What do you think?
