Steven Gerrard Takes a Cheeky Dig at Craig Levein’s ’12 Men’ Comments

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has taken a cheeky dig at Hearts boss Craig Levein, whilst lavishing praise on the Ibrox club’s supporters this afternoon.

As we told you at the weekend, Levein blasted referee Bobby Madden following his side’s defeat to Gerrard’s Gers, insisting his team were playing against 12 men throughout the 2-1 reverse.

And when that was put to Gerrard today, he had his answer perfectly prepared but rather than focusing on Levein’s comments he decided to change the conversation to the Rangers fans – most of whom we reckon will love this response:

Now, if we’re being technical, Scott Arfield was sent off in the second-half of Sunday’s game, so weren’t Rangers reduced to 10 men, and therefore…ah, who cares, we think Gerrard’s point is pretty loud and clear, eh?

For a rookie boss, he seems to be pretty clever when it comes to handling the media, don’t you think?
