There’s Plenty of Manchester United Fans Actually Hoping Their Team Loses Tonight

Manchester United are going into a make-or-break match against Arsenal this evening – but there’s a disturbing amount of their own supporters actually hoping they’ll lose.

With their chances of launching a title race now extremely remote, United are now in a race to make the top-four this season and need to end the Gunners’ 19-game unbeaten run at Old Trafford tonight to keep alive any realistic hopes of doing so.

But with the Red Devils now eight points off the Champions League spots at the moment, a defeat could spell the end of Jose Mourinho’s time as manager, and it seems there’s plenty of fans who would quite like to see their boss given his P45.

Arsenal haven’t won at the Theatre of Dreams since 2006 but take a defeat against the North Londoners to get rid of Mourinho? Well, that’s a bargaining chip this lot would be perfectly willing to trade tonight:
