The Algerian winger has been made to wait patiently for his opportunity to star for the Sky Blues since arriving for a £60 million from Leicester City last summer, but he’s putting in some seriously impressive displays now he’s fully settled.

The 27-year-old goal tonight away from Watford is actually his seventh goal of the season so far, despite regularly playing second fiddle to Raheem Sterling on the wide right of City’s attack.
Given United have been on the lookout for a new player on the wide right of their attack for a while now, watching Mahrez shine for Pep Guardiola’s side is getting under the skin of quite a few Red Devils:
Quite astonishing that we just let City have a free run at signing Mahrez, whilst we have Mata/Lingard starting on the right wing

“Mahrez isn’t good enough for #MUFC because no big club interested in him”
So I was Told when I said Utd should make a move for Mahrez !

While Jose was blowing Perisic & Willian we watched Mahrez go to City because he doesn't track back. Unbelievable player.

WTF didn't we go for Mahrez or a RW? How did Jose not see this gaping hole in the team in the summer?

Always a joy watching Mahrez plays. Shame we didn't go for him. Imagine signing him instead of Sanchez. He also plays at the right tho.

i still dont get why we didnt go for mahrez man. such a baller

We were really going to have this bum instead of Mahrez https://t.co/SXcWldzKZ7

They brought in Mahrez in the summer, he fitted in perfectly, but some of our fan base feels Sanchez needs more playing time.

Too late mate. He’s not once shown any level of intensity in his play since he’s been signed. He’s come here for the astronomical sum going into his bank and nothing else. I wish he’d have just gone to Abu Dhabi and we had gone and got Mahrez in the summer.

Did United miss the boat when the let Mahrez go to City unopposed?
What do you think?
