Tom Rogic was not included in the squad and two Hibs players didn’t make the starting XI for Australia’s controversial friendly today.
Rogic missed yesterday’s Old Firm game at Ibrox as he joined up with the Socceroos ahead of their Asia Cup campaign.
He was joined by Mark Milligan, Martin Boyle and Jamie MacLaren from Hibs in that squad – and all were expected to be involved in today’s friendly against Oman, therefore missing the Edinburgh derby with Hearts.
But Rogic wasn’t even in the squad for the game, while MacLaren and Boyle could only make the bench – with the former getting 26 minutes before the latter came on eight minutes later:

This was the starting XI for the game – with Milligan the only SPFL player making the team.
There’s been no explanation for Rogic’s omission yet, but you can assume Celtic and Hibs fans won’t be happy considering their teams lost their derbies yesterday.
Rangers beat Celtic 1-0 at Ibrox – with Brendan Rodgers’ men turning in one of their poorest performances.
Hours later, Hearts beat Hibs 1-0 at Easter Road and you have to think the Hibees would have been much better with three of their best players available.
