Video: Brendan Rodgers Confirms Kieran Tierney ‘Highly Unlikely’ to Face Rangers

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Kieran Tierney is ‘highly unlikely’ to be fit enough to face Rangers on Saturday, after the defender missed today’s dramatic 4-3 win over Aberdeen.

Tierney has developed into one of the Hoops’ most important players under Rodgers, and his absence was particularly telling at Pittodrie this afternoon, as the Dons exploited his stand-in Emilio Izaguirre in the first-half.

The Honduran was subbed at half-time and replaced by Jonny Hayes, who looked considerably more solid at left-back, and it looks like the Irishman will be deployed in the same position at Ibrox this coming weekend, as his manager revealed whilst speaking to the media afterwards:

Today’s Celtic victory sets up a mouthwatering clash with their arch-rivals in Glasgow, with Rodgers looking to maintain his unbeaten record against Rangers since arriving in Scottish football in the summer of 2016.

Do you think Celtic will struggled badly without Tierney?
