Video: Celtic Fans Sing Leigh Griffiths’ Name During Salzburg Clash

Celtic‘s loyal fans paid tribute to their struggling striker Leigh Griffiths tonight during their Europa League showdown against RB Salzburg in Glasgow.

As you’ll probably know by now, the 28-year-old is taking an indefinite break from football for the time being in order to deal with ongoing ‘personal issues’, meaning he obviously wouldn’t be available for this evening’s tie.

However, his absence didn’t mean he was forgotten, and the Parkhead supporters made sure Griffiths heard their message loud and clear:

Along with singing the No.9’s song, Celtic fans also displayed a banner featuring the caption ‘It’s ok not to be ok. You’ll never walk alone, Leigh’.

Having been a key player for the Hoops under Brendan Rodgers, Griffiths will be keenly missed on the pitch but the only priority at the moment is the player’s health and state of mind.

As we told you earlier today, Griffiths had issued a thank you message via the club after receiving dozens of messages, and tonight’s gesture will no doubt cheer him up too.

What do you think of the message?
