Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has delivered a scathing verdict of his side’s display in today’s 1-1 draw with Dundee, whilst admitting some of his players have perhaps been given too many chances to prove themselves.
The Ibrox club travelled to Dens Park off the back of a 1-0 home defeat to Aberdeen on Wednesday night, and Gerrard would’ve been keen to see some sort of reaction from his squad against a team who started today joint-bottom of the Premiership with St. Mirren.
However, it took Kenny Miller just nine minutes to fire Dundee in-front, and despite Nathan Ralph being sent off in the 20th minute, Rangers failed to make the advantage count and could only muster up a point from their afternoon’s work.
The result means Gerrard’s men have missed the opportunity to go back to the top of the Premiership and are now two points behind bitter rivals Celtic – who also have a game in-hand.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the full-time whistle, Gerrard struggled to hide his disdain for the performance:
Rangers now face a trip to Austria to face Rapid Vienna in the Europa League, but what did you make of their showing today, and Gerrard’s comments?
