Video: Gerrard Says Rangers Looked Like Team Bottom of the League Against St Johnstone

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard says his side looked like a team towards the bottom of the league during today’s win over St Johnstone in Perth.

With the Premiership title race just starting to heat up, it looked like Gerrard’s men were about to drop costly points at McDiarmid Park after Matty Kennedy’s opening goal just before half-time.

The Ibrox side were a far cry from being at their best but a late onslaught soon turned things around, with subs Glen Middleton and Kyle Lafferty causing significant problems in the Saints defence.

In the end, Morelos bagged his 18th and 19th goals of the campaign to seal a 2-1 victory, but Gerrard was far from impressed after the fill-time whistle:

Despite Gerrard’s complaints, his team are now just one point behind arch-rivals Celtic, albeit with the Hoops holding a game in-hand, ahead of their meeting on December 29.

What do you think of Rangers’ display, and Gerrard’s comments?
