Rangers are keeping a very close eye on Gillingham‘s prolific striker Tom Eaves, according to reports that have surfaced south of the border.
Gers boss Steven Gerrard watched frustrated from the sidelines yesterday as his side struggled to break down relegation-threatened Dundee at Dens Park without star striker Alfredo Morelos.
And it seems he and the club’s hierarchy are keen to add attacking reinforcements, and Sky Sports are claiming Eaves, 26, is one of the names at the top of the list, as his reputation continues to flourish.
The Liverpudlian forward, who is 6ft 3in and has been compared to West Ham’s Andy Carroll, has been in sensational form throughout the current campaign, having managed to bag 14 goals in 26 appearances so far this season in England’s League One, and he remains the third tier’s top-scorer.
Rangers missed the opportunity to leapfrog arch-rivals Celtic yesterday, and seem pretty reliant on Morelos for goals, but could Eaves be the man to fill the void when the Colombian is out?
What do you think?
