Video: Ryan Christie Continues Incredible Form with Opening Goal Against Motherwell

Ryan Christie continued his red-hot form for Celtic this evening by scoring the opening goal of the game against Motherwell, as the Hoops look to regain their lead at the top of the Premiership.

The Scotland international has cemented his place in Brendan Rodgers’ starting XI this season after his future at Parkhead looked far from certain in the summer, and tonight he hammered home just how brilliant his recent run has been – just days after scoring the winner in the Betfred Cup Final.

Playing just off lone-striker Leigh Griffiths at Fir Park, Christie produced one of his Frank Lampard-esque runs into the box, before coolly slotting the ball into the far corner with his left foot:

That’s his sixth goal in his last nine club games, and it’s perhaps just as well for Celtic fans that he’s been tied down to a new long-term contract recently, given just how impressive his form has been.

What do you think of his latest goal, and just how important a player has Christie become for Brendan Rodgers and his team?
