Video: Scott Arfield Sent Off For Dangerous Challenge on Hearts Goalie Bobby Zlamal

Rangers went top of the Scottish Premiership this afternoon after winning 2-1 at Tynecastle – but midfielder Scott Arfield saw red after a pretty reckless tackle on Hearts goalkeeper Bobby Zlamal.

The home side went ahead via an early own goal from Gareth McAuley, but Connor Goldson levelled and Alfredo Morelos made it 2-1 just before the half-time break.

And whilst there were no goals in the second 45 minutes, there was plenty of drama, with Arfield’s dismissal definitely the biggest talking point of the afternoon.

With the Jambos struggling to contain Steven Gerrard’s side, Zlamal was left to stop several goal-bound efforts, but as he scrambled one shot off the goal-line, he was clattered by Arfield – and referee Bobby Madden swiftly brandished a red card:

It might have been a daft and dangerous tackle, but it didn’t end up costing Rangers, who are now one point ahead of Celtic, albeit with their bitter rivals holding a game in-hand.

What do you think of the dismissal?
