Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller was sent off tonight against Ajax after a ridiculous attempt to win a high ball with a wild karate-kick tackle on Nicolás Tagliafico.
The Bavarian giants went into tonight’s final group phase match this evening knowing they were already assured a spot in the last-16 knockout phase, along with their opponents, but the winner of the section would be decided in tonight’s showdown in Amsterdam.
Robert Lewandowski got them off to the perfect start when he fired Bayern in-front after just 13 minutes, but it was set to be a night of pure drama inside the Johan Cruyff Arena.
Dusan Tadic then hit back with a slick brace in the second-half to make it 2-1 to Ajax, and it looked like the Dutch side would be taking the spoils when Muller was dismissed on 75 minutes, and it’s pretty easy to see why:
"Everybody was kung-fu fighting!" 😮

As you can see from the clip, the German World Cup winner might’ve just been slightly too high there.
In the end, it didn’t hamper Bayern too much, who hit back with two late goals of their own to make it 2-3, only for defender Niklas Suele to put through his own net and finish the contest at 3-3.
It remains to be seen if Muller will be handed an extended punishment for his wild lunge, but what do you think of it?
