Zinedine Zidane to Manchester United Talk Starts After Jose Mourinho Sacking

The Zinedine Zidane to Manchester United talk has hit full swing following Jose Mourinho’s sacking this morning.

The Old Trafford club followed up rumours of the Portuguese manager’s dismissal by officially confirming it via a statement on manutd.com.

Mourinho has paid the price for what seemed like constant unhappiness around the club as well as the recent 3-1 defeat to rivals Liverpool at Anfield.

United confirmed that a caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the season before a permanent replacement for Mourinho is found.

But talk of Zidane’s arrival at Old Trafford is already intense among fans – and that should continue as United look to plan for the future under a new gaffer.

Zidane has been out of work since leaving Real Madrid in the summer, but has been linked with Manchester United regularly and Mourinho’s sacking should lead to more speculation going forward.
