The Hoops have already completed the signings of three attacking players, with Tim Weah, Oliver Burke and Vakoun Bayo all checking in at Parkhead, but with Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic looking set to leave in the summer (and Mikael Lustig looking past his best) some defensive reinforcements could well be on the agenda.
Speaking during his media conference earlier today, Rodgers elaborated on the club’s current transfer needs, but stopped short of confirming any targets or naming any names:
🗣️ BR: “We know we have areas we want to improve on… If we’re going to bring in players, they have to be of real quality.”

Speaking via STV Sport, Rodgers said: “That’s the challenge for us as a club, to find players to improve us.
“If you aren’t spending a lot of money you always have to be careful not to stockpile players, I’m always conscious of that.
“But there are a number of areas we have consistently looked at to improve.
“We will always wait for quality, if you are going to bring in any players they have to be of real, genuine quality.”
Celtic now have three home matches in a row in the Premiership, with St Mirren, Hamilton and St Johnstone all visiting the East End of Glasgow in the next two weeks – but will Rodgers have any new players to show off in the fixtures?
What do you think, and where do Celtic need to improve?
