Celtic are being strongly linked with a deal to bring Scott McTominay to the Scottish Premiership – but the club’s supporters aren’t convinced it’d be a smart move by Brendan Rodgers.
Scotland international McTominay broke into the United first-team last season under Jose Mourinho, and was even keeping Paul Pogba on the bench at certain stages of the campaign.
However, the 22-year-old has found game time a lot harder to come by this season at Old Trafford, with just seven appearances in the Premier League – most of which have come from the subs bench.
According to Sky Sports, Celtic are ‘locked in talks’ with United over a deal to take the midfielder on-loan until the of the season but the reaction on social media suggests he wouldn’t exactly be welcomed to Paradise with open arms:

McTominay on loan would be yet another baffling move from Celtic, an inexperienced CM is last thing they need, at what point are they going to be questioned on the short termism of these deals, win or lose the Title I'm not so sure Rodgers will still be at Celtic next season.
