Europa League Tease Celtic Fans With Victor Wanyama Post

The official Europa League Twitter account has teased Celtic fans this afternoon with a post about Victor Wanyama.

For some reason, the Twitter of Europe’s second competition decided a picture of the Tottenham midfielder celebrating in a Hoops jersey was the perfect image to go with a tweet about the Friday Feeling.

On first view, we thought it was just their Twitter admin failing to realise that Wanyama no longer plays with the Glasgow club.

But then we realised that they may know something we don’t? Or at least Celtic fans hope they know something we all don’t:

There have been some rumours about Wanyama potentially returning to Celtic in the January transfer window, with the Kenyan midfielder believed to be out of favour at Spurs.

He’s played just seven times for Tottenham this season, with Mauricio Pochettino deciding a host of other midfield options are better than Wanyama.

But Tottenham’s loss would be Celtic’s gain – as a lot of fans hope.

And they want to believe this Europa League tweet is hinting at something happening this January:

For the sake of the Europa League Twitter account, they better hope this happens.
