Georginio Wijnaldum Awkwardly Catches Fan Tweeting About Him On Plane

Georginio Wijnaldum awkwardly caught a fan a tweeting about him on a plane this morning.

The Liverpool midfielder was travelling this morning as his side are not involved in the FA Cup this weekend.

They lost 2-1 to Wolves in the last round of the competition so get this weekend off – and that may mean Wijnaldum and his teammates can spend some time with their families.

We’re not sure if he was on a flight back to the Netherlands or not, but a supporter of Feyenoord spotted Wijnaldum and then tweeted about it shortly after.

What the supporter didn’t realise was Wijnaldum – who is an ex-Feyenoord player – was behind him and filmed the tweet being composed:

In case you can’t read the tweet, it says:

“I’m sure 99% sure Georginio Wijnaldum is on my EasyJet flight. Am I going to embarrass myself by saying Feyenoord with an awkward thumbs up on the way out? Almost certainly.”

Hopefully the supporter gave Wijnaldum the thumbs up and maybe even got a picture with the Liverpool midfielder too as they left the flight.

Liverpool are next in action when they play Leicester City this coming Wednesday.
