Video: Celtic’s Scott Bain Pulled Off a World Class Quadruple Save Against Airdrie

Scott Bain was handed a start in the Celtic goal by Brendan Rodgers this evening – and the reserve goalkeeper showed his manager exactly what he’s capable of by pulling off a world class save.

With Craig Gordon still very much the Hoops’ first-choice shot-stopper, Bain has been forced to wait for opportunities in cup competitions, and he was thrown in against League One side Airdrie tonight.

As expected, the Premiership champions dominated the first-half, with the bulk of the play revolving around the opposition’s penalty area, but Airdrie broke in the final moments of the half and should’ve scored.

Bain threw himself across his goal-line and managed to pull off a simply sensational stop:

The 27-year-old has never really had a run in the Celtic starting line-up, and probably won’t despite his heroics today, but do you think he’s now putting pressure on Craig Gordon for his spot?
