Fans of Slovakian club Dunajská Streda queued up in the cold outside their stadium to say goodbye to incoming Celtic signing Vakoun Issouf Bayo.

The Ivory Coast international has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal with the Hoops after an impressive spell in the Slovakian Premier League, which saw the 22-year-old rack up 22 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.

As we told you last week, the Streda Twitter account declared they were ‘proud’ to be selling the striker to a club of Celtic’s stature, and it seems their supporters are equally delighted for Bayo.

As you can see in the clip below, he was greeted by well-wishers as he said a proper goodbye before heading to Scotland to join up with his new employers:

Given the amount of people who turned up to see a player who is leaving them for another team, it would be logical to assume Bayo was pretty good in Slovakia, right?

Do you think he’ll be a hit in the Scottish Premiership?
