The Portugal international has been on-loan at Goodison Park from Barcelona this season, and his classy displays in the middle of the park have seen him praised by pundits and fans.
But whilst he’s obviously class on the pitch, it seems the 25-year-old is also a very classy guy off it.

Each person who embraced Gomes gave a donation to the People’s Palace, a mental health facility not too far from the club’s stadium, and, thanks in-part to the hug-a-thon, the fundraising has now reached over the £100,000 mark.
It remains to be seen in Toffees boss Marco Silva will be given the funds to make Gomes’s move to Merseyside permanent, and Spurs have also been linked with making a move for the ex-Valencia playmaker.
But even if this does prove to be his only season in Everton’s blue jersey, he’ll go having made plenty of young fans happy.
