The World Cup-winning midfielder has endured something of a trying season so far, as his club manager Maurizio Sarri insists on playing him in an unfamiliar advanced position, rather than his usual holding role in-front of the defence.
Jorginho has been used centrally by Sarri, with Kante asked to cause opponents problems further up the pitch, and he certainly obliged this evening.
Going into the second-leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final 1-0 down to their bitter London rivals, Chelsea needed a moment of magic to jump start their comeback – and it came in the shape of a pretty spectacular triple nutmeg:

N'Golo Kante has all the time and space to hit a fierce drive that flashes through the area – and three sets of legs – before beating Gazzaniga.

For a defensive midfielder by trade, that’s not a bad strike at all, is it?
Could Sarri have a point by playing Kante in a more advanced role, and have you ever seen a triple nutmeg before?
