Video: Santi Carzola Rolls Back the Years with Brilliant Goal Against Real Madrid

Former Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla rolled back the years tonight to score an absolutely sumptuous goal against Real Madrid in La Liga.

The ex-Spain international is now 34, and looked like he was close to announcing his retirement whilst with the Gunners last season, as his carious different draining injuries refused to abate.

In the end, Cazorla re-signed for Villarreal, and not only is he back playing, but he’s one of the Yellow Submarine’s most important players again, as Real goalie Thibaut Courtois found out to his cost tonight:

Cazorla won two FA Cups during his time in North London and cemented his place in Arsenal folklore with his silky performances in the middle of the park, but his last game for the club was all the way back in October 2016.

He might be no spring chicken anymore but it’s definitely nice to see Santi getting back to something like his best, eh?

What do you think of his revival?
