Video: Yaya Toure Reveals He Could ‘Maybe End Up Playing in Scotland’

Yaya Toure has admitted he ‘might end up’ playing his football in Scotland, amidst rumours of a potential move to Celtic before the transfer window closes.

The former Manchester City and Barcelona midfielder is without a club after having his contract cancelled at Greek side Olympiacos last month, and media reports from Greece have claimed the Hoops are interested in signing the 35-year-old.

Yaya’s brother Kolo is a member of the Celtic coaching team but the idea of the Champions League winner turning out in the Scottish Premiership seemed fanciful – until his appearance on Monday Night Football this evening.

Discussing his future with Jamie Carragher, Toure’s specifically mentioned Scotland as a potential destination, along with the English Premier League:

Earlier on Monday, Sky Sports claimed their ‘sources’ were telling them that Brendan Rodgers had absolutely no interest in signing Toure, but surely there must be something going on behind the scenes for him to mention Scotland publicly, right?

And he didn’t exactly say no when asked directly about the Bhoys, did he?

What do you think?
