In case you’re not aware of the backstory, Gnabry spent five years at Arsenal during his teens, mainly in the youth academy, before leaving in 2016 after failing to be given an adequate opportunity in the first-team.
To add insult to injury, Gnabry was sent on-loan to West Brom in 2015, only for Tony Pulis to claim he wasn’t up to scratch after playing him just once.
Now 23, Gnabry is the heir apparent to Arjen Robben at Bayern, and his lung-bursting performance tonight – particularly in the first-half – reminded plenty of Gooners exactly what they’ve lost:
Do you think Arsenal made a monumental mistake in mistreating Gnabry and letting him leave?
And do you think he has what it takes to become one of the best wingers in European football?
