It’s bad news for Liverpool fans after it was reported that Roberto Firmino has left Old Trafford on crutches this afternoon.
The Brazilian striker started today’s English Premier League clash against Manchester United.
But he only lasted 31 minutes after picking up an injury and had to be replaced by Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool went on to draw the game 0-0, with Firmino’s absence showing in their lack of creativity in the final third.
Yet if that wasn’t bad enough, hearing that Firmino has left Old Trafford on clutches is seriously bad news for Liverpool and their supporters:
Liverpool have some important games to play over the next month, including the Merseyside derby against Everton and their Champions League last-16 second leg clash away at Bayern Munich, so Firmino being unavailable would be a big setback for them.
There’s been no official word on the extent of Firmino’s injury so everyone will be praying that the crutches are simply a precaution.
