Clarke Calls Officials ‘Embarrassing’ and Complains About Sectarian Abuse After Rangers Loss

Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke has savaged officials for their showing in his side’s 5-0 defeat to Rangers tonight.

Killie travelled to Ibrox for their Scottish Cup fifth round replay after drawing 0-0 with their opponents in Ayrshire last month, and having beaten Steven Gerrard’s men 2-1 when they last met in the Premiership, they would’ve fancied their chances of at least being competitive in tonight’s game.

However, things really didn’t go to plan from a Kilmarnock perspective, and goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann was sent off early by referee Alan Muir in the first-half after an innocuous looking altercation with Glen Kamara.

Bachmann was dismissed when the score was just 1-0 but the sending off signalled a Rangers onslaught, and Alfredo Morelos helped himself to a four-goal haul in an eventual 5-0 win.

After the match, Clarke spoke to the media and didn’t hold back when giving his opinions on the level of performance from the officials, whilst also complaining about some of the abuse he’d received from Rangers fans whilst on the touchline:

What do you think of Clarke’s pretty remarkable comments?
