The 2018-19 Premier League season has been riveting up to this point, and there are fierce contests being fought at both ends of the division.
Along with this dramatic action, the race for the Golden Boot is well and truly on with three frontrunners now pulling away from the chasing pack.
It’s so tight between Harry Kane, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, and Mohamed Salah that bettors don’t know which sharpshooter to put their money on.
And it would be wise not to ignore Sergio Aguero who is just behind them.

After the festive fixtures, Kane, Aubameyang, and Salah pulled away from the likes of Eden Hazard and Aguero in the race to top the scoring charts.
The two north London players had notched 14 goals apiece after 21 games, while the Liverpool man was slightly behind on 13. Despite trailing his rivals, last season’s top scorer has been involved in more attacks for his side and has notched seven assists in the process.Embed from Getty Images
Aguero could still be one to watch, and he has only drifted behind his rivals due to missing four games through injury. Indeed, the Argentine’s strike rate of 126 minutes per goal is only bettered by Aubameyang on 118 minutes. Staking on either Kane or Aubameyang to win the Golden Boot could be the safest bet, but the two London-based centre-forwards are at 2/1 and 3/1 respectively, making the pay-out less worthy of the risk.
Last season’s hottest forward Salah is close behind at 11/4, and it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise to see the Egyptian do the business once again. After a fairly slow start to the campaign, the Liverpool man has hit top form and is arguably deadlier than he was in his debut season at Anfield. This is, without doubt, the closest Golden Boot race in many years. Recently, it has usually been a two-horse scrap but, this time, there are at least four potential candidates for the honours.
Betting on one of them looks like pot luck at the moment, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see Salah retain his award.
