Kilmarnock goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann has claimed both Celtic and Rangers regularly get the benefit of refereeing decisions, following his side’s 1-0 defeat to the Hoops yesterday at Rugby Park.
The shot-stopper, on-loan from Watford, has impressed between the sticks for Steve Clarke’s side this season but looked on helplessly as Scott Brown’s deflected volley flew past him in the 90th minute yesterday.
Afterwards, the 24-year-old Austrian refused to bite his tongue when he spoke to the media, and insisted officials in Scotland are quick to give both sides of the Old Firm the benefit of the doubt:
Bachmann will be back in goals at Ibrox on Wednesday night for Kilmarnock’s Scottish Cup replay with Rangers – and we’ll be watching closely to see if the referee sways one way or another.
What do you think of his comments, and does he have a point?
