Kris Boyd Criticised For Covering Aberdeen v Rangers Despite Kilmarnock Playing Tonight

Kris Boyd is being criticised by some supporters for being part of Sky Sports’ punditry team for Aberdeen v Rangers tonight despite Kilmarnock playing at the same time.

The Killie striker served the second game of a two-match suspension tonight after his red card for a late tackle on Graeme Shinnie at the end of January.

So he was unavailable for Steve Clarke’s men as they travelled to Dens Park hoping to bounce back from the weekend defeat to Hearts at Rugby Park.

But it’s come as a surprise to many to see Boyd sat next to Hayley McQueen and James McFadden for Sky Sports’ coverage of Aberdeen versus Rangers at Pittodrie.

For some, Boyd should have been supporting Kilmarnock in what was a big game away at Dundee:

Does Boyd deserve the criticism coming his way for working for Sky while Kilmarnock play? Or does it not matter as he’s suspended anyway?
